INTERREG IVC brought inspiration to Czech regions
The third in a row 'Inspiration for future' workshop organised by INTERREG IVC for representatives of public authorities and bodies governed by public law took place on 11 April 2013 in Prague, Czech Republic. The participants discussed the benefits for their regions and interregional cooperation in the new funding period 2014-2020.
INTERREG IVC’s “Good Practice Fair 2011”
Regions of Europe Sharing Solutions
Interregional cooperation (Part of the C strand of the ETC (as well as of the former Interreg III Community Initiative), its aim is to promote exchange and transfer of knowledge and best ...) has brought many advantages to those organisations involved in partnerships. Across 122 projects financed by the INTERREG IVC programme, over 1000 good practices have been identified in ten themes thanks to this cooperation.
What effective techniques have been used to promote entrepreneurship in order to boost employment? What are the latest developments in sustainable public transport? How do regions deal with the emphasis on innovation and how can innovative ideas be brought to the market? What works on a regional level when tackling climate change? How do regions face the challenges brought about by demographic change? How can improving energy use improve a region’s performance? The knowledge gathered in 27 EU countries, Norway and Switzerland is available to all, and the aim of this one-day event is to help local and regional policymakers and practitioners benefit from the experience already shared, especially during this period of economic austerity across Europe.
This event will welcome policy-makers and practitioners from all over Europe for an intensive one-day event focused on sharing experiences and encouraging uptake of good practices identified or transferred with cooperation projects. We particularly encourage public authorities who have not joined an INTERREG IVC partnership to attend this practical, knowledge-sharing day.
Through detailed, practical case studies of what some regions have put into practice, combined with networking possibilities to gather more information on how these practices work, this day aims to be a one-stop shop for regions who may be financially restricted but know that a good idea is worth gold.
ProgrammeA complete programme will be available as soon as the registration for the event will open.
A full one-day event, followed by an evening networking reception, is planned.
Plenary sessions will open and close the event. Participants will have the choice of attending workshops, visiting exhibition stands, and networking with other regions.
An INTERREG IVC cinema and library section will display videos and good practice (in the context of the INTERREG IVC programme, a good practice is defined as an initiative (e.g. methodologies, projects, processes, techniques) undertaken in one ...) guides produced by projects. INTERREG IVC partner regions will be showcased in the good practice fair, allowing for networking and exchange.
More information and registration will be available on www.interreg4c.eu from late-September/early October. Invitations to register will be sent directly to relevant authorities.
Participation in the conference is free of charge however delegates will have to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.
