INTERREG IVC brought inspiration to Czech regions

INTERREG IVC good practices discussed and displayed in Bulgaria
Workshop in Bulgaria - Good Practice exhibitionOn 28 March 2013, INTERREG IVC brought an exhibition of good practices and a national dissemination workshop on 'Inspiration for future' to Sofia, Bulgaria, for Bulgarian representatives of public bodies to share their experience with INTERREG IVC projects and give the programme some feedback on their future expectations on interregional cooperation. It was the second in a row of national workshops on presence and future of interregional cooperation.

EU Sustainable Energy Week

EU Sustainable Energy Week 2012 logoEU Sustainable Energy Week showcases activities dedicated to energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions. It is designed to spread best practices, inspire new ideas and build alliances to help meet the EU’s energy and climate goals. The aim is to form a bigger picture out of multiple individual efforts to motivate change through a varied programme of events.

Between 18 and 22 June 2012, Brussels will be host to a packed programme of high-level debates, conferences and exhibitions. Organised by the European Commission and other bodies, the 3-day policy conference starting on 19 June will bring together industry representatives, scientists and decision-makers and offer an ideal networking opportunity.

INTERREG IVC projects are involved in two side events organised in Brussels in the framework of the EU Sustainable Energy Week.

Regional support to a low carbon economy within the Roadmap 2050

The RENREN project in cooperation with the Federal State of Schleswig-Holstein is organising a side event “Regional support to a low carbon economy within the Roadmap 2050”. T

his event will also involve representatives of the LoCaRe mini-programme, to discuss the role of regions in supporting the transformation of the today´s energy systems towards a low carbon economy as outlined in the “Roadmap 2050” tabled by the European Commission in 2011.

Both projects will present results from their first two years of cooperation. A panel discussion will give an outlook on necessary steps on the European and on the regional level to realising the renewable energy goals in the coming years.

Regions and local authorities working together to support the European Goals of Renewable Energies Goals in RES

Projects involved: RENREN, RETS

The RENREN project in cooperation with the Federal State of Schleswig-Holstein is also organising a side event “Regions and local authorities working together to support the European Goals of Renewable Energies Goals in RES”.

This event explores the support for local authorities and the expectations of the local level towards the regional level. Both projects strive the boost the RES-development - RENREN by presenting policy recommendations and RETS through showcasing innovative collaboration between local authorities, development agencies and universities. Concrete examples from regions and local authorities will be discussed to show the kind of expectations that exist on both sides.
